Scott Jackson utilizes his nearly 40 years of experience to advise clients in every aspect of real estate transactions, from determining and forming the original entity to the deal closing. He prides himself on bringing seemingly disparate interests together, allowing the deal to get done as efficiently as possible, and at a fair price for his clients.
From the outset of every deal, Scott focuses on providing high-quality counsel by first understanding his client’s objectives, and then taking all steps necessary to make sure that the transaction at hand meets those objectives. He recognizes the importance of gaining consensus in order to bring a transaction together quickly.
Over nearly four decades, Scott has been fortunate to maintain a practice focused upon the representation of real estate investors, developers and users. Many of the investors are based in Europe. Scott has represented numerous office, retail, warehouse, residential lot and multifamily residential developers. He has also represented restaurateurs and retailers as well as public hospital companies and health care providers in the role as counsel. Clients rely on his significant experience with ground leasing, retail and office leasing, residential development, and owners’ associations to further their business interests.
Scott takes great pride in mentoring young attorneys. Over the years, he has enjoyed watching many of his associates and mentees develop their own successful practices and found firms of their own. Aside from his work at the firm, Scott and his wife, Debra, are involved with various wildlife and community initiatives in central and southern Africa which take them to that continent from time to time. He has served on the Board of Directors as well as the Director of church charitable outreach for Lovers Lane United Methodist Church.
